Buried alive
by Pat Roller, WA
Anatomist (Retired), Aged 73
In 1957 I was part of a small team that exhumed cadavers from an old disused cemetery in Shettleston, Glasgow.
The last burial was about eighty years before.
We discovered three coffins with scratch marks on the underside of the lids and the cadavers in each case had considerable damage to both hands around the finger tips and nails consistent with ripping at pine wood.
